This is the question that stops a lot of overseas orders before they start, usually after one failed attempt. The failure is common, it is not about you or the bakery, and it is easily worked around.

What to do first

Before assuming the bakery is at fault, call your own bank and ask them to authorise a transaction to Pakistan. Many banks will clear it instantly once you confirm it is genuine, and the second attempt then goes through. This resolves a large share of declines.

The reliable fallback

Message the bakery. Bank transfer is standard for overseas orders and most Pakistani bakeries handle it routinely. A good one will hold your delivery slot while payment is arranged rather than cancelling the order — ask for that explicitly so the date is not lost.

Other routes that work

• Bank transfer directly to the bakery's account
• A family member in Pakistan paying locally on your behalf
• Wise or a similar transfer service, if the bakery accepts it
• Payment on delivery, where the recipient is in on the plan

Is it safe?

Ordering from an established bakery with a physical address, a real phone number and an active social presence is low risk. The signals worth checking are the same anywhere: does the business have a verifiable location, will they message you a photo of your cake before dispatch, and do they confirm delivery afterwards. A bakery that does all three is not going to disappear with your payment.
